Earth Day & School Birthday Celebration (22.04.2024)

Our school stands tall, its future bright,
As we celebrate stories yet to alight.
For today we honor two occasions grand,
Our school’s birthday and Earth’s green land.

Today, in honour of Mother Earth and to mark the successful completion of eleven illustrious years, DPS Greater Faridabad joyously celebrated this momentous occasion with great fervour.

The event began with the prayer, seeking blessings of the almighty. Our respected Principal ma’am; Dr Bindu Sharma presented saplings to our eminent guests ;Mr. Anuj Ramatri, Mr. Anit Gupta and Ms. Ritu Malhotra, as a token of gratitude. We were honoured to extend a warm welcome to Modern School, Sector 85, Surajkund School, and Saraswati Global School. In a bid to increase our green cover and make our planet look even more beautiful, our guest of honour, Mr Anuj planted a sapling encouraging our Dipsites to develop a continued compassion towards mother earth and make a difference. Followed by this, Our Principal ma’am, Headmistress ma’ams, and our distinguished guests of honour joined us in watering the plants as a gesture of reverence towards Mother Earth on this auspicious day.
The celebration continued with a group song that captured the essence of the theme. The Fiery Forests ignited the stage with their powerful rendition and united us in the fight against climate change. Furthermore, a Nukkad Natak on pressing issues such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)was performed by the students that gave a powerful message to sensitize them all to keep the surroundings clean and take appropriate actions to be the voice of change. It was highlighted that we need to be mindful of our habits and actions and become conscious while adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle to help and save our environment. Thereafter, Mr. Anuj Ramatri and our SDG crusaders Mr. Anit Gupta and Ms. Ritu Malhotra shared their insights and journey towards sustainable development and imparted their invaluable experiences to the Dipsites. Their journey towards sustainable development undoubtedly inspired the Dipsites to draw out the best in them today for a greener tomorrow. The celebration also included a short video emphasizing the role of Sustainable Development Goals. Students also showcased their inventions and innovations, inspiring ideas to preserve Mother Earth.

The event culminated with a message of taking a vow encouraging everyone to safeguard our Mother Earth from the perils of climate change and make the most of the youthful stage of life to bring a difference. Dipsites were encouraged to do their bit in making our earth a healthy planet where mankind can survive, grow and thrive. Overall, it was a thought-provoking event, fostering awareness and action towards a more sustainable planet.
