Our Stellar Features

Competitive Edge Programme

To beat the fear of competitive examination, our school started the Competitive Edge Programme for students from classes IV – X under the aegis of DPS since 2018. In this programme , a team of skilled teachers helps the students to develop their analytical, logical and reasoning skills. The students are provided with the right teaching methodology and study material to excel in the exams. These classes are scheduled on every SATURDAY and TUESDAY (during stay back).
The competitive exams like NTSE, SMTE, RMO, Aryabhatta, Ramanujan and other State, National and International level Olympiads help in magnifying the child’s potential in Mathematics, Science, English and Computers. These exams cover all aspects of the child’s personality. Such exams not only prepare the child in different subjects but also enhance their strongest talent and highlight their most prominent element of interest.
Under this programme our young Dipsites show the best results and make our school proud.

Despite the ongoing challenges of pandemic Covid-19, the school conducts regular sessions of Competitive Edge Programme. It’s our resolute commitment to the programme that enables our students to secure first rank in the prestigious global competitive exams such as SOF etc.

Be the change

‘Be the change’–Integration of Sustainable goals into classrooms.
Keeping the holistic education approach in mind, our school has introduced a curriculum based on integration of Sustainable Development Goals in our primary and middle school.
This project aims to develop empathy and compassion in students by making them understand the challenges faced by us as citizens of the world.
Be The Change- is a series of integrated worksheets to engage, educate, and inspire our young dipsites to actively participate for fulfilling the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) is vital for achieving the 2030 Goals that envision ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. There is an international consensus that SDG should be ‘embedded in the whole curriculum, not as a separate subject’.

Be the Change is based on the principle that embedding and integration are necessary to achieve the sustainable development goals. The endeavour of DPS Greater Faridabad is to shape and build a Cadre of sensitive students who will serve well the interest of India and the world by becoming responsible global citizens.

Principal's Choice Period

Galloping Horses

The school stables are abuzz with happy neighing of our seven horses. Our students have given these names- Megha, Badal, Juliet, Venzo, Topgun, Raffle and Rusty. Under the excellent care of an experienced care taker, the horse-riding facility is preparing students to be able riders and caring animal lovers.

Discovering New Perspectives (DNP)

Under the aegis of DNP, DPS Greater Faridabad launched the programme for parent-school partnership on December 14, 2013 in an effort to foster stronger relationship between the school and the home, focusing on the child as the loci of both the parent as well as the school. On regular basis parents are provided with guidance on sensitive issues like how to study during exams, happy kids, happy you, good eating habits, and ‘Weekend with Parents’ for students from classes Nursery to II that focuses on parents spending productive time with their children. The ‘Once Again’ segment of this activity carries a fascinating fact introduced in the week. Through DNP, the school aspires to be a resourceful medium of support to parents through education and empowerment necessary for sound parenting.

Three consecutive years of winning a Scholar Badge makes a student eligible for Blue Blazer. Six consecutive years of Scholar Badge makes a student eligible for Red Tie and eight consecutive years of Scholar Badge makes a student eligible for Gold medal. This honour is a coveted one and students strive to win the Scholar Badge that comes with a specially monogrammed winter blazer pocket.

an audio visual cue. For the same, DPS Greater Faridabad has endorsed smart classrooms that use presentations and visually effective content supplements to enhance the learning experience. ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab)

ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) of the school is a work space where young minds give shape to their ideas through hands on do it yourself mode; and learn innovation skills. Students get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). ATL contains educational and learning ‘do it yourself’ kits and equipment on – science, electronics, robotics, open source microcontroller boards, sensors, 3D printers and computers.

Robotics Lab (Powered by LEGO education)

Science is all about understanding how things work around us and what better way to simulate the same by means of robotics. Over the past decade, the subject has taken the world by storm and it continues to gain momentum. This lab endeavors to provide an effective experiential learning tool for students, using LEGO and Arduino products, which assist them in understanding the various concepts of science by means of implementing them in a controlled and guided environment.
Delhi Public School Greater Faridabad believes that a nearly sensitization to the subject would further facilitate logical and analytical thinking of a child and help him/her effectively translate the learning into success in many walks of his/her life.

Labs

Effective teaching and learning of each subject involves seeing, handling, and manipulating real objects and materials. The knowledge that kids attain in classrooms would be ineffectual unless they actually observe the process and understand the relationship between action and reaction. The school has well equipped laboratories for Mathematics, Language, Science, Social Science, and IT. Students are encouraged to use these laboratories to learn through experiments.

Space Club

Our universe is a fascinating place, with planets, stars, asteroids and other celestial bodies adding to its enigma and attraction. The school is running its Astronomy Club successfully in association with an organization, SPACE so as to stimulate young scientific minds.

Head to Heart

It is our pilot mentoring project where we attach a teacher with every child who needs individual care to have a mentor. Our vision behind it is to provide a platform to voice views on a personal as well as on academic level. This initiative functions for students of classes VI-VIII.

Through School Cinema, students have been able to arrive at effectual solutions to deal with complex concerns affecting them, such as low self–confidence, anger, stress and strained relationships.

Mindspark

Mindspark is an adaptive learning tool that de-mystifies mathematics, facilitates practice on daily basis , promotes love for the subject alongside developing critical thinking for academics and competitions. Our students of Classes III-VIII love winning ‘Sparkies’ and appreciation by scoring well. Mindspark programme is accessed both at school and at home by students.

Since then, every year this movie club has shown timeless classic movies such as ‘Utsav’, ‘Pursuit of Happiness’, ‘Boot Polish’ and “ET” to name a few, with enthusiastic response from the parents and students.
