Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat

India is a land of unity in diversity! With 28 states and 8 union territories and an area covering approximately 3.28 million square kilometres, there is lot of life and learning to be explored!

So how do we live and breathe this diverse India where each state is a slice of a distinct culture with multiplicity of ethnic groups, linguistic communities, religious traditions, and a wide platter of foods and festivals! The answer brings me to a very beautiful initiative of the Government of India, called the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, which was launched in 2015 with the aim to enhance interaction & promote mutual understanding between people of different states and Union Territories through the concept of state/UT pairing, wherein, each state explores the different aspects of the partner state.

In sync with this Government initiative, we too have been exploring our partner state Telangana at various class levels with our partner school, P. Obul Reddy Public School, Hyderabad. Just as we are discovering Telangana, our partner school is unravelling Haryana. Isn’t that collaboration at its best? We invite you to be our EBSB companion and take a glimpse of the activities by our Dipsites!

In sync with this Government initiative, we at DPS Greater Faridabad too have been exploring our partner state Manipur through an array of activities. One such activity “Sketching from nature and surroundings” was conducted in Grade 5 and 6, where students created mesmerizing landscapes of Manipur. Students not only enjoyed drawing and painting various landscape of Manipur but also understood the difference between Haryana and Manipur landforms.
This art integrated activity helped students to know the partner state in a creative and fun filled way. Overall students thoroughly enjoyed the activity and they were eager to know more about Manipur.
