Young Environmentalists Make Strides in Tree Plantation Initiative on World Water Day!

On March 22nd observed as the World Water Day, our 5 young environmentalists, Naman Pareek, Jaiaditya Sharma, Pritish Khatri, Prerak Singh, Class IX and Daksh Dagar, Class X along with Ms. Sapna Dagar, Faculty, DPS Greater Faridabad, embarked on a significant journey towards a greener future! Organized by the Protect Our Planet organization, our students planted trees at Jheel Park, Welcome area, Delhi, as part of the Tree Plantation Initiative. Together, they planted 150 trees, contributing to a total of 5,000 trees of various species including Guava, Jamun, Ashok, Lemon, Mango, and Neem. Mr. Ghanshyam Singh, Senior Officer, MCD North Zone Shahadra and Ritesh Suji, Welcome Colony Municipal Corporate graced the event and encouraged children to conserve resources.
The day commenced with an invigorating yoga and meditation session, setting the tone for a day of environmental action. Following this, the youth groups were assigned areas for planting, and with great enthusiasm, they began their work, persisting until lunchtime. After a refreshing break, they meticulously monitored the site, ensuring the success of their planting efforts.
We’re incredibly proud of our students for their unwavering dedication to environmental conservation and community service! Let’s continue nurturing their passion for nature and reinforcing the significance of safeguarding our planet for the prosperity of future generations. #TreePlantation #ProtectOurPlanet #EnvironmentalConservation #YouthLeadership
