“ Grammar is the logic of speech even as logic is the grammar of reason.”
The HRDC of the Delhi Public School Society organized a webinar on ‘Honing Grammar Skills’. The host Mr Paul Gunashekhar stressed that grammar is the structural foundation of our ability to express ourselves. The more we are aware of how it works, the more we can monitor the meaning and effectiveness of the way we and others use language. The session with a series of interactive exercises helped in fostering precision, detecting ambiguity and exploiting the richness of expression available in English. From making grammar fun to looking at skills students will need in the future , the session encouraged using an inter disciplinary base along with creative ways to augment the treatment of grammar and vocabulary.
