Spellings play a very important role in a student’s ability and success to learn to read. It is one of the essential components of successful writing. Being confident at spelling leads to confidence in all aspects of literacy. Keeping the same in mind, a Spell Bee Competition was organized for the young Dipsites of Class 1 on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. It aimed at giving students a platform to learn different spellings with their pronunciations and consequently, enrich their vocabulary, improve their communication and comprehension skills. Students were given a word bank of 25 words to facilitate effective learning and participation. Each student was asked to write 15 words as a written drill wherein students with maximum correct answers were chosen as winners. Students participated earnestly in the competition. Their efforts and initiative were appreciated by one and all.
