Special Assembly On Teacher’s Day By Dipsites Of Class IV-C- Sep 08, 2022

Special assembly undoubtedly holds a significant position out of all the routine activities in school. Probably it’s the first platform which is provided to young minds, boosting their confidence towards public speaking and imbibing a feeling of team spirit in their nascent minds.

Keeping up with the same, the students of class IV C conducted their class assembly on 08 September 2022.The topic of the assembly was ‘Teachers’ Day’.

The assembly commenced with the Morning Prayer which is believed to provide peace and serenity to our minds and souls. This was entailed by Thought for the Day, a Kabir doha to acknowledge their teachers:

गुरु गोविंद दोनों खड़े काके लागूं पाँय ।
बलिहारी गुरु आपनो गोविंद दियो मिलाय ॥

The narrators explained that the doha places the Teacher higher than even God himself. It says that it is only because of what one learns from the Teacher that one sees God!

Thereafter, a speech in English on the importance of teachers and Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, whose birthday is celebrated as Teacher’s Day in the country, was extended in the assembly. An English Poem on why God created Teachers was beautifully recited followed by a Hindi Poem on importance of teacher in a child’s life. The students had put up mesmerizing dance performances and melodious group songs. The energy of the performance was contagious which left the audience in awe of them.

The Principal, Ms. Surjeet Khanna and the Headmistress Ms. Ritu Jain addressed the gathering and motivated the students with their encouraging words of wisdom. The assembly came to its finale with a cake cutting ceremony and a vote of thanks. Students of IVC with great jubilation and pride, made a beautiful thank you card with their fingerprints and offered it to the Principal ma’am and Headmistress ma’am as a token of appreciation. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem sung by one and all.

This assembly was undoubtedly a result of the immense efforts put together by students and their teachers. It was once again proved that when students and teachers work together they surely create masterpieces.
