To lead our students together on the path of peace and social harmony, we, at Delhi Public School Greater Faridabad celebrated this auspicious festival of lights, Diwali, on 11th of November with our Dipsites together as a family with exuberance.
Diwali celebration week began from 6th November to 11th November where our students got the opportunity to showcase their creative instincts by participating in various exciting craft activities. To vindicate the significance of this festival, quizzes and interactive sessions were organized, where our students got the awareness about the values and morals of our ancient culture.
Class Nursery to Class IV enjoyed a sequence of activities as a part of the celebration like making and decorating bandhanwar,decorating diyas and making rangolies which boosted their creativity and imagination . Rangoli making ,on the theme of eco-friendly Diwali ,by the students added the perfect setting to the festivity.
Our students took delight in making beautiful Diwali cards ,hand made paper lanterns with immense zeal and enthusiasm. They expressed their joy in making these craft items by displaying them at their homes.
The celebration culminated with Diwali Party on 11th November,2020 which enhanced inter personal interactions between our students and DPS family, where our students proudly displayed their ethnic attire and expressed their happiness through small presentations like dance, poem, song, prayer, dohas, chaupai which added to the festive mood and filled the air with intimacy and amicability.
The Principal of Delhi Public School, Ms. Surjeet Khanna urged every Dipsite to keep-up with our tradition of ‘Gyarah Mutti Daan’, by donating the same to the poor and needy around their homes and gave warm wishes and showered her blessings for a joyous Diwali.
As a whole, it was an enjoyable and memorable week for each and every Dipsite which established a strong bond between us to celebrate such bright occasions together in future as well.
