Christmas & New Year Celebrations- I & II- Dec 21, 2021

Carols in the distance, Laughter everywhere

I can smell Christmas, Floating in the air !

To imbibe the spirit of Christmas and to inculcate the values of sharing and caring, we at DPS Greater Faridabad organized an array of virtual activities for Dipsites of Class– I and II.

The festivities commenced on December 20th, with discussion on ‘Joy of Giving’ for Class I and ‘My Reindeer Crown Making’ for Class II. On the second and third day i.e., December 21st and 22nd of, our young orators of Class I enthusiastically participated in vocabulary enriching Speaking Activity – ‘Expressions’ and the students of Class-II participated in an Interactive session on ‘Sharing and Caring’. On December 23rd our young learners of Class I and II put their imagination and creativity to work and made a beautiful Santa Hanging and a Little Santa Piggy Bank respectively. This was followed by a day filled with excitement and fun wherein the students played virtual games followed by a class party.

As it is said by Will Ferrell, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” The students participated in the singing of Christmas carols during the online session, in a cheerful spirit. They also danced their hearts out to the tune of their favourite Carols and were told about the birth of Lord Jesus and the legend of Santa Claus.
Finally, to bid adieu to the year 2021 and welcome 2022 with open arms, on December 30th our Dipsites (Class I) made a beautiful New Year Card and ardently participated in virtual class party. Class II enthusiastically spoke their aspirations for the New Year 2022. It was a truly gratifying experience for all. The week-long festivities enabled our Dipsites understand the precious gifts of hope, peace, joy and love were the gifts, God handed us with the birth of Jesus Christ. In turn, we must do similar for those less beholden than ourselves.
