Celebrating Bastille Day- Classes IV-X- July 14, 2021

Vive La France!   (Long Live France)
Bonjour!  A strong nation is the one whose citizens are united and have respect and passion for their country, just like France. Bonne Fête Nationale!
Never forget the value of freedom and sacrifices people have made for the same.

The National Day of France, more commonly known as Bastille Day in English, is a national holiday in the country celebrated on July 14 every year with fireworks and parades. It marks the fall of Bastille, a military fortress and prison, on July 14, 1789, when an angry mob stormed into it, signalling the beginning of the French Revolution.

France, although it seems quite small, is a country that has never failed to inspire people across the planet. It has been the cradle of numerous ideas that helped shape the modern world. From food to fashion, this country belonging to the western part of Europe ranks among the top guns.

On 14/07/2021 a special assembly was conducted by french department to honour this country by painting the atmosphere Bleu, Blanc et Rouge on the special eve of France National Day. Over 200 plus Dipsites witnessed this assembly over Zoom meeting. This event was planned with a feeling to introduce Dipsites with french culture.

It was quite a big challenge sitting at our respective homes and planning the event. Thanks to the technology and the dedication of Dipsites who made this happen hassle free.

The assembly was conducted by respective class teachers on zoom platform. Class IX hosted the assembly under the keen guidance of the french teachers Ms. Richa Shukla, Ms. Anju Singh, Ms. Srishti Elawadhi.

The event was full of french songs, dances, interesting facts, rhymes, role play, etc and highlighted similarities between France and our own country, India. The efforts, that all the participants and the host team had put in, actually came up with flying colours.

After the assembly Dipsites personally shared their positive feedback with teachers and on Google forms too. Class 4 and 10 also got the chance of online viewing too. It was indeed a fruitful event and everything went off smoothly.

Leaning a foreign language opens new doors to the world and introduce you to the new opportunities. It help us grow mentally and emotionally. We have sure absorbed a lot while preparing for this day and came out with flying colours.

Singing off here with a promise to come up with more exciting events in coming future.
