The spirit of celebrations and festivity was at its peak as we started our new academic session with the virtual celebration of Baisakhi in Classes Nursery and Prep on April 13th, 2021. All the teachers and young Dipsites participated with great zeal and fervour, proudly dressed up as ‘Gabrus’ and ‘Mutiyaars’ decked up in their vibrant Punjabi attire to celebrate this beautiful harvest Festival.
The celebration started with a cultural video depicting the significance of Baisakhi. Through this video the teachers emphasized on how the farmers of India play a very vital role in our lives by working hard in the farms to grow crops and provide food in every house hold. Then the students were engaged in creating a beautiful and colourful Baisakhi craft. But how can we celebrate Baisakhi without the thumping beats of our Punjabi dhol. The celebration ended with a scintillating performance of our lovely Gabrus and Mutiyaars dancing to the beats of Dhol. What a lovely site it was, when the virtual classrooms turned into mini Punjab and Haryana.
