A healthy mind dwells in a healthy body. Keeping this statement in view, DPS Greater Faridabad had organized an Annual Athletic Meet for class III,on Thursday, February, 20. During the Meet a spectacular display of great zeal, excitement and enthusiasm was seen on the sprawling grounds of the school.
The event started with a National Anthem and was followed by a Mass drill. An energizing display set the tone for the rest of the event. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheers and loads of encouragement for the young athletes. Class III participated and displayed their zeal and ardent skill in 100ms print, relay, sack race, and hurdle race. Following is the result of the event.
The most intriguing aspect embellishing the event, was the splendid field display involving 100% participation of all the Dipsites of Class III which splattered on the field, a riot of hues and vibrancies.
The athletic meet concluded with an inspiring and motivating speech by our ever inspiring Principal Ms. Surjeet Khanna who emphasized on the importance of sports in a child’s life and demonstrated the correct postures for an athlete.
It was a day filled with fervour and exhilaration, amidst thrills and cheers and was concluded with the felicitation of the proud winners.
