75th Independence Day Celebrations- Nur & Prep-Aug 15, 2021

“Be the change you want to see in the world.” Mahatma Gandhi

To commemorate the glorious 75 years of India’s independence, we at DPS Greater Faridabad, organised a Special Virtual Assembly, for classes Nursery and Prep on 15th August, 2021.

To invigorate the feeling of patriotism, love and harmony deep in the heart of every Dipsite, the celebration was planned and executed meticulously. The special assembly was a spree of patriotism, happiness, togetherness, brotherhood, love and respect for our nation.  The celebration started with a welcome note by the class teacher followed by National Anthem and National Pledge which instilled patriotic zest and pride for our nation. Students and teachers, with their head held high, pinned the self-crafted tricolour badge on themselves. Our young Dipsites were amazed to know the story behind our  freedom struggle as it enunciated the power of unity and the sacrifices made by our legendary freedom fighters. The inspiring story motivated the students and helped them understand and value the freedom we have got.

Parents and students distributed sweets among their family members during the online assembly. Our young Dipsites also danced on the song “Nanha Munha Rahi Hu”. Not only students but parents and grandparents also participated enthusiastically. Feeling of patriotism reverberated in every little heart. Dipsites were dressed up in tri-coloured attires and shouted out slogans like ‘Vande Matram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ .Everyone celebrated Independence Day with great vehemence and fervour. This colourful presentation received a much-deserved applause from the audience present.

The ongoing pandemic couldn’t curb our enthusiasm and in no way could it limit the love and pride we treasure for our country. On this Independence Day we salute our freedom fighters and our real heroes the ‘Corona Warriors’.

Happy Independence Day!
