74th Independence Day Celebration – Dil Se Bharart

Delhi Public School, Greater Faridabad, with utmost pride and patriotic fervor, celebrated 74th Independence Day on August 15, 2020 in the lush green grounds of the school.The celebration was graced by the august presence of Shri Kanwar Pal Gujjar, Honourable Education Minister of Haryana as the Chief Guest. The program commenced with the welcoming of the guests by PRO VC Rohit Jainendra Jain and Principal, Mrs. Surjeet Khanna followed by flag hoisting. It was a proud moment to be a part of unfurling of the tri-coloured flag by the Chief Guest, Shri Kanwar Pal Gujjar, Honourable Education Minister of Haryana and the rendition of the National Anthem in unison, echoing the spirit of devout nationalism.

The highlight of the program was the self-composed poem presented by the Head boy of the school, Akshit Tomar, who motivated the guests with patriotism and moving ahead in the struggle against Corona pandemic with the fighting spirit. The grounds of DPS GF echoed with the melodious rendition of the patriotic song, ‘Hum Nay eGeet Sunaye, Hum Naye Rang Sajayen’ by the teachers of the school. Adding to the patriotic flavor, the fusion dance performance by the dance teachers of the school on ‘Jai Ho’enthralled the audience.

Chief Guest, Shri, Kanwar Pal Gujjar, Education Minister of Haryana, along with the other dignitaries laid the Foundation Stone for the Growth Remediation and Support Program, GRASP Center, a vision of PRO VC Shri Rohit Jainendra Jain. The Chief Guest addressed the audience with inspiring experiences of his life and motivated the gathering to conserve and preserve the environment by planting more trees. He lauded the efforts of DPS Greater Faridabad in instilling the love for their motherland through the green environment and making our school the most beautiful campus in Faridabad. He appreciated the efforts of all the educators of the school for their relentless dedication. He also encouraged the students to make our nation strong and progressive at the global level. All the dignitaries present praised the efforts of PRO VC Rohit Jainendra Jain and Principal, Mrs. Surjeet Khanna and congratulated them.

Shri Rohit Jainendra Jain, PRO VC, DPS GF, and Principal, Mrs. Surjeet Khanna thanked everyone for their esteemed presence and support and assured the commitment of DPS Greater Faridabad towards environment and society at large. They encouraged the students to take initiative and active participation towards making a great nation.
