The 6th International Young Film Makers Festival (IYFMF) 2017 was held at National Science Centre, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 20th& 21st July 2017. There were around 55 schools, from different parts of the country that participated in this mega event.Our school designed a short film "CHILD RIGHTS EDUCATION- A thought in time" which was very much appreciated by the jury. Our movie won a Silver Trophy for the Meritorious Performance. The participating students and teachers were awarded "Medal of Honour" and Certificates.

The Objective of this festival was to encourage young creative minds in schools to come up and utilize the audiovisual technology and make short films to convey meaningful social messages to the society,portraying major issues of national concern. Students got an exposure to the intricacies of film making eg. handling cameras, recording, direction, script writing. They were sensitised with the real time issues of our society like Drug addiction, Peer pressure, Anxiety & Stress and many more. They got an opportunity to attend an Interactive sessions on Media Literacy, Life Skills & Basic Elements of Cinematography by eminent personalities like Ms. Sonal Kalra(Chief Editor Hindustan times) , Mr. JL Pandey(Retired from NCERT), Ms.Anubhuti Yadav( Asst. Professor ,New Media at Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi).

It was an amazing and enriching experience to be the part of this event.
