Seven years old Kashvy Sabharwal of class II-E won the 4th runner up trophy in A1 Level in the 16th National UCMAS Abacus & Mental Arithmetic competition which was held on 19th August 2017 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

The competition created a milestone in its own term as it witnessed most number of students in a single day at single venue appearing for the mental arithmetic exam, validated by Asia Book of Records as well. This cut-throat national level competition of little math wizards saw record-breaking participation by more than 7000 children in different level from 25 states across India, aged between 4 and 13 years.

Kashvy said at the competition, which tested speed and accuracy in arithmetic, the UCMAS students had eight minutes to solve as many as 200 math questions depending on the students' level, using only an abacus or mental arithmetic.

The award ceremony was honored by the presence of Hon'ble Shri Rajendrabhai Trivedi, Minister of State - Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities (Independent Charge), Prof. Dr. Dino Wong, Founder & President of UCMAS International and Dr. Snehal Karia, CEO & President-UCMAS.
