Witnessing the grand success of the social enterprise-Red Revolution featured in Educational Technology Summits for last consecutive three years in New Delhi -Design-Thinking for Social Change, this year the event, held at WWF-India on Saturday, December 16th, witnessed wide scale participation from over 150 delegates from across the nation. 13 schools presented out-of-box innovative Design-Thinking projects and were peer-evaluated based on the rubrics provided to them. The students were required to judge the projects basis these design thinking elements (empathy, idea, prototype, story-telling, teamwork, etc.), innovation, impact / potential and creativity.

The award for "Most collaborative enterprise" was bagged by DPS, Greater Faridabad for Design-Thinking for Social Change project titled Red Revolution A Social Initiative. The project created awareness about blood donation catering to voluntary availability of blood and healthy living in the society. While the Summit sponsors - WWF-India, Radius (authorized partners for Apple Education) and Mindbox conducted engaging workshops with the students, representative from Google Education conducted an informative workshop with school leaders and teachers encouraging usage of technology, specifically Google drive, Google forms, Google sheets, etc. in daily classrooms. The facilitator walked the audience through the Google Drive and imparted few tricks and tips, it was indeed an informative session. Mike Knowles, a renowned professor of Design, undertook a design-thinking workshop with the school heads, principals, directors, school owners and teachers. He emphasized the need for empathy, creativity and rationale as the pre-requisites for effective design-thinking. We look forward to a great learning.
