Counselling

The aim of counselling at DPSGF is to provide a healthy Emotional, Social, Educational and Personal support not only to children, but also to parents, teachers and staff members in school. Counselling services are provided to children so that they understand themselves better and are empowered and resilient to deal with difficult situations in life. The school has a dedicated team of 3 members that is 1 counselor and 2 special educators who expertise in child mental health. The school has devoted a room for counseling and remedial academic work, named 'Healing Zone', and "GRASP". The children come and discuss their concerns, play with toys and resolve their deep issues through Play Therapy and Disclosure techniques. GRASP facilitate inclusion of children with special needs to maximise educational options with support of IEPs. The school also organise career counselling workshops and Life skill education workshops for students.
